Privateer Press has announced a new Hordes faction not so long ago. Grymkin. A lot of players say that the design has a lot of similarities with Malifaux. Well... It can be true, however, the concept of this faction can be found in the earliest books about this universe. So, a lot of players were really waiting for it. Let's look at what we have now.
Here are some ideas about new warjacks and beasts, announced at this moment, and we'll discuss the faction itself.
They represent seven deadly sins of the humankind - an interesting concept itself. Also, they are living nightmares - really impressive design, but doesn't it remind of one of the Malifaux factons?
However, Grymkin look really individual right now - there are giant warbiests and some tough meat for massive attacks. The unusual design is really a step forward for Privateers.
The unit stats, that were shown at this moment look impressive - these are solid units, who can deal a lot of damage. The most Hordes players are quite satisfied with them.
In general, the infantry looks tough, but not damaging a lot. This army should use powerful warbeasts and warcasters' abilities.
For example, these pigs sybmolise gluttony. Not them, but those, who carry them. Quite original. Besides, this unit is really hard to kill, which makes it a frequent guest on the tables.
Not all the warcasters' models are already presented. We know that they are the ones, who rejected Menoth by their own means.
It's great that Privateer Press decided to step aside from the traditional concepts and try something new - both in design and gameplay.
Warcasters are mostly into supporting their army. This gives you a lot of interesting opportunities for the game.
This Baba-Yaga is definitely something new for this game system.
