The Gate of Erebor

Erebor, the Lone Mountain is the greatest dwarf's kingdom of Middle-earth. Dwarfs found valuable minerals here long time ago. A colony and a road appeared soon to connect Erebor with Iron Hills and Blue Mountains.

After a rise of Balrog and a fall of Moria, the kingdom of Erebor became the main center of Dwarf's civilization. Though, it was abandoned for lots of years…

Gandalf met Torin (as we see in a famous film) and offered him to take Erebor and to become a king of Lone Mountain. After that Erebor took part in the War of the Ring, but always was in hands of dwarfs as their native homeland.

This great terrain project is made by Arkady. It took a lot of time to construct it, but even more time to paint it. He worked alone, without army of dwarfs, so, the main material was changed from rocks to polystyrene.

Sculptures worse an individual attention. Big dwarfs look monumentally, seems, that this terrain-maker knows something about the art of sculpting.
